Department Production Number of Positions 01 Location - Town / City Queensburgh Required Education Level Diploma | Advanced Certificate Job Advert Summary The purpose of thsi role is to provide effective logistics support to Production by coordinating production schedules, ensuring the availability of raw materials and packaging, maintaining accurate stock records and shop floor transactions, and supporting reliable production and milk-balancing information to minimise losses and improve factory efficiency. Requirements • Degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field. • 2–5 years of FMCG experience applying job-related concepts, techniques and processes at the required level. • Experience working with management-level stakeholders. • Fluent in Business English. • Intermediate computer literacy • Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency. Duties and Responsibilities Production scheduling and material availability • Coordinate daily and weekly production schedules for assigned factories, taking account of material availability and shift structures to support factory efficiency. • Monitor raw materials, packaging and mixes against production requirements; communicate potential stock shortages, planning deviations and supply risks to the Logistics Manager and Supply Chain Planning (SCP). • Keep planning schedules under control and communicate agreed changes promptly to Production and relevant stakeholders. • Report supply and planning incidents, and coordinate investigation and follow-up within 48 hours. Shop floor control and production transactions • Perform shop floor control in MRP II and capture accurate, timely production and stock transactions in LX and relevant Clover systems. • Create and issue shop packets timeously; ensure production documentation is received, checked and processed on time. • Balance AWIP report daily before transferring stock from the buffer store to AWIP, and investigate outstanding differences. • Verify usage variance (UV) after shop floor control is completed and investigate or escalate discrepancies. • Update and maintain weekly and annual shop floor control calendars. Milk balancing, variance reporting and loss reduction • Validate information received from Processing and Milk Reception, support tanker-receipt reconciliation and milk balancing, and report deviations. • Compile accurate daily and month-end reports and reconciliations, including balances with internal and external service providers where applicable. • Analyze usage variances and processing losses, with particular attention to butterfat, milk balancing and mix losses; provide practical recommendations. • Record reported incidents and factory faults, and work closely with Factory Managers and relevant departments on variable cost reduction initiatives. Quality, traceability and continuous improvement • Provide transaction and material-traceability information for quality investigations, audits and product recalls, including materials and ingredients used in the parent item. • Apply problem-solving techniques to support root cause investigations and reduce losses. • Participate in team improvement projects and propose practical ideas to improve processes, accuracy and productivity. Stakeholder coordination and teamwork • Maintain constructive communication with internal and external customers and suppliers and adhere to agreed service level agreements. • Work closely with Production teams to improve process flow and achieve sustainable results. • Assist with training new Logistics Officers and learners, including milk-balancing processes where applicable. • Provide relief support for other Logistics Officers during leave or absence.
