Requirements
The ideal candidate must be in possession of a National Diploma/ NQF Level 6 qualification in HR/ HR Systems as recognised by SAQA, successfully passed the PERSAL Controller training exam and have at least 3 years’ administrative experience in the PERSAL Administration environment and a valid code 08 driver’s licence. Essential Knowledge, Skills And Competencies Required: The successful candidate must have Knowledge of the: - Operation of HR Systems (PERSAL etc.); Knowledge of Public Service Act/ Regulations; Departmental Policies; Understanding HRM practices in the Public Service; Public Service reporting procedures and work environment; Investigation into and policy development processes; Interpretation of legislation, policies and statistics; Computer based Human Resource Management Information systems; understanding of all prescripts, practices and procedures. interpretation and application of policies/ legislation; problem solving and analytical thinking; financial management; team building; manipulation of information to compile reports; project management; presentation and facilitation silks; motivation /leadership skills and negotiation skills; good communication skills (verbal & written) with internal and external personnel, Office of the Priemer, auditors, management and staff of the department and Computer literacy (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Access, PERSAL).
Duties
The successful candidate will be required to maintain a Departmental HRM information system with the following responsibilities: - Maintain an appropriate HR information system for the department; Manage the departmental PERSAL system; Provide analytical reports; Manage the provisioning and allocation of posts; Provide advice and guidance and input to policy; Manage the resources of the Division.
