Requirements
Senior Certificate / Grade 12 plus (NQF Level 7) in Engineer as recognized by SAQA. Six (6) years post qualification experience required as a registered professional Engineer. Compulsory Six (6) years’ experience as a registered professional with Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) as a Professional Engineering. Current registration with Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) as a Professional Engineering (2026). A valid driver’s licence. Computer literacy. Knowledge: PFMA/Treasury Regulations/Practice Notes/ Instructions/Circulars. Provincial/Departmental Supply Chain Management Policies. National Building Standards Act of 1977 and Regulations. Occupational Health and Safety Act of 1993 and Regulations. Government Immovable Asset Management Act of 2007.Health Act and Regulations. Engineering Profession Act of 2000.
Duties
Functional and Technical norms and standards from an engineering perspective. Innovative service delivery mechanisms and feasibility studies. Strategic Briefing Documentation. Infrastructure Plans. Strategies, policies and procedures. Research/literature studies and interaction with relevant professional development boards/councils. Effective and efficient resources management. 142
