Requirements
An appropriate MSc degree in Meteorology / Environmental Science / Geoscience; Compulsory and valid registration with the SACNASP as a Professional Natural Scientist in the appropriate field of practice; A minimum of 6 years post qualification natural scientific experience; A valid code B driving license. Competencies: Knowledge of the following: Applicable policies, legislation, guidelines, standards, procedures and best practices; Management principles; Statistical information; Public Service Regulatory Framework; People Management processes; Project management; Public Financial Management Act and its Regulations; Skills in the following: Communication (written and verbal); Interpersonal; Analytical; Planning and organising; Motivational; Policy formulation; Presentation/facilitation; Financial management; People management; Problem solving skills.
Duties
Facilitate and coordinate policy, strategy development and implementation; Facilitate and oversee agricultural research and data management; People Management; Financial Management.
