Requirements

NQF level 8 BVMch/BVSc as recognised by the South African Veterinary Council; Compulsory registration with the South African Veterinary Council (SAVC); A minimum of 1 year post qualification experience; A valid (Code EB or higher) driving license. Competencies: Computer literacy; Financial Management; Statistical; Research; Analytical; Communication; Interpretation.

Duties

Provide Animal Health services; Provide training and awareness programs (veterinary extension services) to communities with regard to Animal Health; Render a Veterinary Laboratory Diagnostic and Epidemiology Service; Render a Veterinary Public Health service; Render an animal disease surveillance service; Provide training and awareness programs (extension services) to communities with regards to VPH; Implement contingency plans and conduct risk assessments for the mitigation of outbreak of diseases; Perform all administrative and related functions.
