Requirements
An appropriate 3-year National Diploma/B-Degree (equivalent or higher qualification) in Information Management Systems or related qualification; A valid (Code B or higher) driving licence. NB: People with disabilities that restrict driving abilities, but who have reasonable access to transport, may also apply. Competencies: Knowledge of the following: Legislation, policies and procedures of the Western Cape Archives and Records Service; Public Management practices in SA and in other countries; Financial Management and Supply Chain Management Services; Public Service reporting structures; Strategic planning; Meeting procedures; It will be advantageous to have a Post Graduate Qualification in Archival Studies. Skills needed: Communication (written and verbal); Proven computer literacy; Research; Problem solving; Analytical and strategic thinking; Presentation skills.
Duties
Approval of electronic records management systems; Development and maintenance of electronic records management systems; Audits of electronic records management systems; Guides and directives: compilation, update and distribution; Communication and facilitation.
