Requirements

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree (NQF Level 7) in Community Development/Development Studies/ Social Science. A minimum of 8 years’ experience in Community Development after obtaining the required qualification. Knowledge: - Constitution for the Republic of South Africa, Public Service Act, Public Service Regulations, Labour Relations Acts, Research Methodology, Public Finance Management Act, Treasury Regulations, National Development Plan, Provincial Growth and Development Plan, Knowledge of legislation for local government, Knowledge of Integrated Development Planning, Knowledge and understanding of individual and group behaviour, its inter-relations within community structures, dynamics of the community and current legislation to enable interventions, Ability and competence to manage community development structures and projects, The ability to influence individuals and groups to participate in their own self-empowerment ventures, Employee Performance Management and Development System. Skills: - 196 Problem-solving, Computer literacy, Communication, Complex research, Financial management, Presentation skills, Project management, Policy formulation and implementation, Driving skills and Numeracy.

Duties

Coordinate the identification, facilitation and implementation of integrated development interventions in partnership with other relevant stakeholders through the efficient, effective and economical utilization of resources by the service delivery areas; Coordinate and manage an Institutional Capacity Building services delivery areas to ensure that and efficient and effective community development service is delivered through the proper utilization of human, financial and physical resources; Keep up to date with new developments in the Institutional Capacity Building and management fields to enhance service delivery, Plan and ensure that research on Institutional Capacity Building is undertaken.
