Requirements
Qualifications: National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Management/ Public Administration/ Public Management/ Business Management / Strategic Management. A valid driver’s license. A minimum of 3 years experience in the field of strategy planning or policy coordination or monitoring and evaluation or administration. Knowledge: The Constitution for the Republic of South Africa, Public Finance Management Act, Public Service Act & Regulations, Labour Relations Act and relevant regulations, Intergovernmental Relations Framework Act, Revised Framework for Strategic Plans, National Development Plan, Medium- Term Development Plan, KwaZulu Natal Medium- Term Development Plan Implementation Framework, National Policy Development Framework, Government-Wide Monitoring and Evaluation, Framework for Managing Programme Performance Information, National Evaluation Policy Framework. Skills: Strategic thinking and planning, Analytical thinking, Financial Management, Project Management, Change Management, Communication, Facilitation, Presentation, Stakeholder Engagement, Research, Report writing, People management, and Driving.
Duties
Coordinate the development and implementation of medium-term, planning frameworks, guidelines and tools; Coordinate the alignment of annual departmental plans with and progress reports with Social Development Sector- specific priorities and policy directives; Coordinate the alignment of annual departmental plans and progress reports with KZN Provincial Priorities and policy directives; Provide advice, guidance and input to policy; Manage resources of the Division
