Requirements
Minimum educational qualification: Basic R425 qualification (i.e. diploma/degree in nursing) or equivalent qualification (R683 plus R254) that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse. OR A 4 year Bachelor Degree in Nursing (R174) or equivalent qualification (R683 plus R1497 or R171 plus R1497) that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse. Registration with a professional council: Registration with the SANC as Professional Nurse. Experience: A minimum of seven (7) years appropriate / recognisable experience in nursing after registration as a Professional Nurse with SANC in General Nursing. Inherent requirements of the job: Valid (Code B/EB) driver’s license. Competencies (knowledge/skills): Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team. Knowledge and ability to interpret and implement regulations, policies and guidelines. Good interpersonal, collaborative, co-ordination, and facilitation skills. Understanding the District Health System. Project Management skills. Data management, analysis and interpretation abilities. Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Report-writing skills.
Duties
Effective planning, co-ordination, and Implementation of integrated Comprehensive Health Programmes/Services, including Maternal, Women, Child, Adolescent Health, Nutrition, School Health, HIV/AIDS/STI/TB/VMMC Services, mental health and chronic disease services. Provide co-ordination and service implementation support for the management of notifiable medical conditions, disease surveillance, and outbreak response in line with policies and guidelines. Provide clinical governance support, support the implementation of policies and guidelines. Provide technical and service implementation support for community-based and wellness services. Strengthen the implementation of Community-Orientated Primary Care. Strengthen the collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Support NPO contract management Monitoring and evaluation of key performance indicators, service delivery targets. Ensure effective data management across programmes. Promote and support continuous quality improvement initiatives across all programmes to ensure compliance with standards. Provide technical support, training and mentorship to ensure staff capacity building.
