Requirements
Minimum educational qualification: Appropriate qualification that allows registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as an Occupational Therapy Technician. Registration with a professional council: Current registration with the Health Professional Council of South Africa(HPCSA) as an Occupational Therapy Technician. Experience: Grade 1: 286 None after obtaining an appropriate qualification or prescribed in-service training that allows for the required registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as an Occupational Therapy Technician. Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years appropriate experience after obtaining an appropriate qualification or prescribed in-service training that allows for the required registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as an Occupational Therapy technician. Competencies (knowledge/skills): Knowledge and understanding of PSR model, mental health, Substance use and TB. Computer literate.
Duties
Contributes to Occupational Therapy Intervention through planning, implementing and evaluating specified activities and assists OT with OT Intervention and programmes in specified OT Area. Execute delegated admin tasks related to clinical service as well as departmental requirements Ensure continued professional development by keeping abreast with the latest developments in the field.
