We are looking to recruit a Graphic Design Intern. Job Advert Summary: - Bring creativity to learning. - Join the Digital Learning team as a Graphic Design Intern and gain hands-on experience designing engaging visual content that supports learning and development initiatives. - This is an opportunity to build your portfolio, enhance your technical design skills, and contribute to meaningful projects while working alongside experienced professionals in a dynamic corporate environment. Why This Role Matters: - This role helps bring learning content to life through impactful visuals that improve learner engagement, understanding, and communication. - The intern will contribute to a variety of digital learning initiatives, supporting the creation of professional and visually appealing materials that strengthen learning outcomes across the business. What You Will Do: - Design visual assets for digital learning programmes and campaigns. - Create illustrations, icons, banners, infographics and supporting graphics. - Develop visually engaging learning materials and digital communications. - Assist with the design of presentations, learner guides, job aids and reference materials. - Prepare graphics for learning platforms and other digital channels. - Resize, optimise and adapt visual assets for different digital formats. - Source and prepare appropriate images and visual assets. - Apply typography, colour, layout and visual hierarchy principles consistently. - Have completed sufficient practical coursework to demonstrate basic graphic design capability. - Be able to provide a portfolio of academic, personal or freelance work. - Essential technical skills The intern should have foundational capability in: - Adobe Photoshop - Adobe Illustrator - Adobe InDesign - Microsoft PowerPoint - Image editing - Typography - Colour theory - Layout and composition - Visual storytelling - Digital asset preparation Exposure to the following: - Adobe After Effects - Adobe Premiere Pro - Adobe Express - Vyond - Articulate Storyline - Articulate Rise - Adobe Captivate - Learning Management Systems (LMSs) Required Knowledge and Experience What You Will Bring: - Adobe Photoshop - Adobe Illustrator - Adobe InDesign - Microsoft PowerPoint - Image editing and digital asset preparation - Typography, colour theory, layout, and composition - Visual storytelling. - Adobe After Effects - Adobe Premiere Pro - Adobe Express - Vyond - Articulate Storyline and Rise - Adobe Captivate - Learning Management Systems (LMS) Educational Requirements Currently studying towards a Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or Bachelor's Degree in: - Graphic Design - Visual Communication - Multimedia Design - Digital Media - Communication Design - Interaction Design - Or a related field. - In order for the recruitment team to review your application, we request that you upload a copy of your CV, matric certificate and university transcipts (Ideally merged into one document)
