Location - Town / City Boksburg Site PG Bison Boksburg Minimum Education Level Bachelors Degree | Advanced Diploma Job Advert Summary PG Bison, a proudly South African leader in the decorative wood panel industry, is seeking a motivated and experienced Sourcing Specialist to join our Procurement Department at our Boksburg Site . The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting strategic sourcing activities, supplier management, procurement processes, and ensuring that the organisation obtains quality goods and services at competitive terms while aligning with PG Bison’s procurement policies and business objectives. Minimum Requirements - Relevant NQF 6 qualification in Supply Chain, Procurement or a technical/engineering discipline. NQF 7 or CIPS will be an advantage - Up to 4 years’ experience in Buying, Procurement, or Sourcing - Experience using e-sourcing tools, ERP systems, and analytics platforms – Preferred - Experience in a technical maintenance or engineering field is preferred - Strong negotiation & influencing skills - Analytical and commercially minded - Integrity, professionalism, and sound judgment - Project management ability - Innovation and continuous improvement mindset - Strong relationship-building across internal and external stakeholders Duties & Responsibilities - Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans for capital expenditure and MRO categories to optimize cost efficiency and supplier performance. - Identify, evaluate, and onboard high-quality suppliers, ensuring alignment with company standards and competitive positioning. - Manage ongoing supplier relationships, monitoring performance and driving continuous improvement initiatives. - Lead contract negotiations to achieve favorable terms, partnering with Legal to ensure compliance and risk mitigation. - Analyze market trends, spending data, and benchmark pricing to inform and refine sourcing strategies. - Prepare comprehensive business cases for procurement projects and report on cost savings and operational efficiencies. - Ensure strict adherence to procurement policies, ethical standards, and governance frameworks while conducting supplier risk assessments. - Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Manufacturing, and other stakeholders to align sourcing activities with organizational goals. - Support change management efforts related to sourcing initiatives and maintain effective communication with all relevant departments.
