Location - Town / City Ugie Site Ugie Minimum Education Level Diploma | Advanced Certificate Job Advert Summary PG Bison Ugie Boardplant is currently recruiting for a qualified Millwright who possesses the below set of skills, attributes and competencies: - Extensive, verifiable industrial maintenance experience may be considered only where legally and operationally permissible, subject to competency assessment and management approval. - Where statutory or regulated work requires a qualified artisan, the required formal qualification and authorisation must apply. Minimum Requirements - Grade 12 / Matric, and - Qualified Millwright Trade Test, or - Recognised equivalent artisan qualification relevant to mechanical and electrical maintenance - Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in industrial maintenance within a manufacturing or process plant environment preferred. - Experience in mechanical and electrical fault finding on production equipment. - Experience with preventative and corrective maintenance execution. - Experience in hydraulic, pneumatic, conveyor, drive, pump, gearbox, bearing and motor control systems are advantageous. - Experience in maintenance-day, shutdown and breakdown support advantageous Duties & Responsibilities - Execute mechanical and electrical maintenance work within the scope of competence, training and authorisation to support safe, reliable and continuous operation of plant equipment. - Perform preventative, corrective and breakdown maintenance on production equipment, utilities and support systems as assigned. - Support maintenance days, annual shutdowns, statutory work and plant improvement activities through safe and effective work execution. - Provide accurate technical feedback to support equipment reliability, maintenance planning and work order history. Investigating problem areas by reading and working from electrical and mechanical drawings. - Execute assigned preventative and corrective maintenance tasks according to approved procedures, safety requirements and supervisor instructions. - Perform structured fault finding on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment within scope of competence. - Repair, replace, adjust, align, lubricate, test and verify equipment as required. - Support breakdown response and safe restoration of equipment to operational condition. - Assist with maintenance-day and shutdown work execution according to approved scope and schedule. - Identify defects, recurring failures, unsafe conditions and reliability risks and escalate them to the relevant supervisor. - Complete work order feedback accurately, including work performed, parts used, defects found and corrective actions taken. - Maintain tools, equipment and work areas in a safe and serviceable condition.
