Reporting to: Store Manager PURPOSE OF THE POSITION We are seeking for a experienced, skilled and motivated Bakery Supervisor to join our dynamic team. The Bakery Supervisor will play a pivotal role in supervising the operation of the bakery departments according to agreed sales and profitability targets. Job description KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS - Control overall bakery expenses to make sure the expenses are maintained within the budget. - Providing awesome customer service to give customers an excellent experience. - Assist customers to find products that they are looking for. - Ensuring that goods are correctly priced and displayed. - To undertake any other relevant duties requested by Management. - Lead in stock takes and stock counts. - Ensure promotions are executed timeously and execution is planned. - Maintain food safety hygiene standards/according to stores policies and procedures. - To efficiently work at the point of sale and maintain high levels of accuracy when scanning merchandise. - Assist in the prevention of stock shrinkage. - Keeping the store equipment clean. - Understand the importance of stock rotation. - Design and implement cleaning schedule for department and for all equipment and facilities daily. - Ensure correct chemicals and procedures are used to maintain a sanitized and pest free environment. - Conduct spot checks to ensure accurate prices are being maintained. Minimum requirements MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS - Grade 12. - Baker’s certificate will be advantageous - Excellent customer service skills. - 24-36 Months experience working in a Retail environment. - Problem solving skills. - Good communication skills. - Flexibility to work on weekends and public holidays. - High level of integrity.
