Position summary Industry: Wholesale & Retail Trade Job category: Others: Transport and Logistics Location: Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) Contract: Permanent EE position: Yes Position summary Industry: Wholesale & Retail Trade Introduction To responsibly perform professional driver duties safely, accurately, and timeously for SPAR KZN. Job description - Ensure safe and secure operation of Company vehicles and assets when conducting deliveries. - Check all documents before, during and after deliveries. - Check all goods with receiving staff and assist during the offloading process when requested. - Deliver goods to SPAR stores safely, accurately, and according to planned times. - Conduct pre-trip and post trip vehicle inspections and report defects to Management. - Operate a tail lift, fridges, tautliner curtains, shoring bars, coupling, and uncoupling as well as monitor the offloading and loading of stock. - Check store damages (claims), returns, assets, recycling loaded back from stores and ensure that the load is secured in the trailer to avoid further damages. - Ensure that all relevant documents are completed correctly, stamped, and signed. - Ensure toll cards are returned and refuel the truck after every delivery. - Achieve set targets in Driver Performance and Housekeeping Standards. - C omply with all safety practices, policies, and processes. Minimum requirements Skills: Communication. Languages: English: Reading - Intermediate, Speaking - Intermediate, Writing - Intermediate. Competencies: Communication.
