Tracking Number AGR 41/2026 Department Agriculture Salary level 9 Enquiries Dr F Vries at (072) 776 4708 Location - Town / City Elsenburg, Stellenbosch Job Purpose The Department of Agriculture, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a suitably qualified and competent individual to render an office manager service to the office of the Chief Director: Research and Technology Development Services. Minimum Requirements An appropriate 3-year post school qualification at NQF level 6 (equivalent or higher qualification); A minimum of 3 years' experience in rendering executive support functions to top management; A valid code EB or higher driving licence. Key Performance Areas Manage Research Project Process of Programme; Render line administrative support services; Manage resources in the office of the Chief Director: Research and Technology Development Services; Execute research, analyse information and compile complex documents; Provide support to the Chief Director with regard to meetings; Remain up to date with regard to the applicable prescripts/policies and procedures applicable to his/her work terrain to ensure efficient and effective support. Competencies Knowledge of the following: Public Service Regulatory Framework; Policies and priorities of provincial and national government; Modern systems of governance and administration; Executive support function which include liaising with national/provincial ministers, national/provincial ministries, Office of the Premier and Office of the Provincial Standing Committee; Financial and people management; Information and records management; Relevant software packages; Intergovernmental and international relationsips. Skills in the following: Numeracy; Computer literacy; Language skills; Analytical; Basic research; Financial management; Communication (written and oral); Presentation; Organising and planning; Interpersonal; Problem solving; Conflict resolution; Research. Remuneration R 487 197 - R 573 897 per annum (Salary level 9) Note on remuneration in addition service benefits or obligations for qualifying employees (medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc) are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
