Tracking Number AGR 20/2026 R1 Department Agriculture Salary level 8 Enquiries Ms B Abrahams at (021) 808 5480 Location - Town / City Elsenburg Job Purpose The Department of Agriculture, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a competent and suitably qualified individual to present practical and theoretical classes/courses to students and other role players in agriculture. Minimum Requirements An appropriate 4-year BSc degree (equivalent or higher qualification); A minimum of 3 years appropriate experience; A valid (Code B or higher) driving licence. Key Performance Areas Prepare lesson plans and present practical, theoretical and/or short courses; Renewal and development of course material and study guides; Assessment of students through compilation of question papers and memorandums for examination; Administrative responsibilities; Keep abreast of applicable prescripts, policies, procedures, technologies and new developments in the subject field. Competencies Proven knowledge of the following: Agronomy Production and pasture management; Vegetable crops produced and alternative crops produced in the Western Cape; Presentation; Verbal and Written communication skills; Computer literacy; Leadership, Planning and Organising skills; Formal training and presentation. Remuneration R 413 001 - R 486 501 per annum (Salary level 8) Note on remuneration in addition service benefits or obligations for qualifying employees (medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc) are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
